Highlights of 2009 As 2009 draws to a close, it's better to focus on the highlights of the year rather than reflect on the doom-and-gloom covered by the press. In this edition of Insight I look back at some of our achievements of 2009. In 2009 Perceptive Online has continued to grow by developing and embracing new technologies which enable us to offer a wider range of services to our customers. A significant move for us was the migration to Hosted Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The move to Exchange Server 2007 enabled us to give you and your employees access to their important information from anywhere using their desktop computer, laptop computer, a browser window from any Internet-connected computer and even their mobile device. A noticeable improvement has been made to the rich and familiar Outlook Web Access based on Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 functionality. If you would like to know more about Exchange 2007 then please follow the link below and that leaves me the opportunity of wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

BlackBerry supported! As well as Exchange 2007, Perceptive also offer customers a new Mobile service. Today's workforce demands “anywhere, anytime” technology where information on the move is a necessity.
Mobile support has been extended to include full support for BlackBerry
devices in addition to Apple iPhone and Windows based handheld devices. This
enables you to instantly access and act on your emails when you're out of the
office and on the move. |

Have you got the right tools for the job? It's no secret that securing new customers is significantly more expensive and time consuming than retaining and developing existing customers. It's important, therefore, to work on existing customer relationships. Making the most of every customer is vitally important. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are key tools in achieving that, but until recently has been a privilege reserved for large organisations.
Our hosted CRM service has changed that, bringing enterprise-standard CRM
within the reach of smaller businesses. |

Do you need Virtualisation? There are key benefits for organisations to adopt virtualisation, sharing computing resources among VM's dramatically increases the utilisation of hardware which then reduces the number of physical machines needed. As a result of having fewer machines this reduces capital costs, reduces energy costs as well as reducing IT management costs.
Virtual has become a reality now that Microsoft has released its enhanced
operating system, Windows Server 2008 R2 which introduces a new version of
Hyper-V. This latest version will allow organisations of all sizes to take
advantage of the benefits and cost savings of virtualisation. |
